  2. You also want to check out the furnace. Furnaces are usually good for about 15-20 years if they are well taken care of. Find out how often the furnace has been inspected, when the last inspection or repair was conducted as well as when the furnace was installed. Making sure the heating system of the home is intact will be crucial.
